Our Mission Statement

"The Artist’s Sandbox is an ensemble that strives to awake and nurture the inner child in every artist, giving them the playground they need to feel artistically challenged in a safe and freeing environment. The Artist’s Sandbox aims to create a hub for artists to work creatively and cohesively towards a sometimes uncommon goal."

    We see many different theater companies, or dance companies, or performance art companies in this city, but never have we seen one that encompasses all of them. This company is composed of branches: a theater branch, a dance branch, a new works branch, a musical theater branch, a children's theater branch, and a multimedia branch. When you audition for this company and are invited in, you are a member of all branches. You may do a dance show one year, but then have the opportunity to be a part of a play the next.

    We’ve created a strictly non-union company where all artists come together. A company where a singer, an actor, a designer, a director, and a painter, could work together on a dance piece. By creating a structure where a company has many branches, it allows artists to either expand and grow on what they already love in a safe and nurturing environment OR try something new! Whether it be on your own, or with a mentor in another branch.
